Grinding up bear while getting a bit of rep. Still in Zangarmarsh.. I forgot how much I liked this place. It's so ... shroomy. Still planning on switching to leatherworking after I get my flying mount, maybe epic flying, so I can get the ebon netherscale set.
Bear: 60 Regret: 53
I think I'll spend the afternoon levelling Regret. He can hold aggro occasionally now. |

I'm now in Zangarmarsh. I suspect I'll be here for a while, trying to make nice with the Sporregar. I forgot how big these mushrooms are. Although there's quests everywhere, I'm ignoring all of them until I can get my hands on the Survivalist's Pike, no matter how long that takes.
A brief side trip to Shattrath City reminds me of just how many people have Humar the Pridelord. I am still wanting to keep Regret, but I am again thinking about what might be best for a secondary pet, not needing two DPS pets. Should I get a bear, before I'm too high level to want to bother with them? I'm also thinking about getting a wolf. Furious Howl might be beneficial for instances.
After debate, I tamed a bear, and released the windserpent. He is a level 58 Shardtooth Mauler, and I hope he'll be a good tank. He won't have dash or charge like a boar but he'll have more base health. So far, he's holding aggro like superglue. |

| | awake | ] | Too tired to update again last night. Ran into several very awesome people that let me bring Regret along to rampage through Hellfire Ramparts and Blood Furnace, not once, but twice.
Being kind and gullible and wanting to build up good karma, I let the enhancment shammy get all the hunter gear that dropped. Except the Legion Blunderbuss, which hasn't yet been seen. I may skip it and go for the bow I hear is in Zangarmarsh somewhere. I think our priest was a bit confused though, she wanted to roll on Ursol's Claw, claiming it was better than what she had right now. Why ... would a priest go after strength/agility/feral attack power? Thankfully, the beartank took it instead. Still, she was a competant healer, how she managed to be that dense about a staff, I don't know.
Today I might venture into the marsh. Running out of things to do in Hellfire Peninsula except for getting squished by fel reavers. |

This list is a 'nice list' of people I run into in PuGs and roaming around on questing. It's for my personal use, but a reader might find it useful too.

But he's so pretty.. |

I think today I may begin looking to do actual quests and improve my gear a bit, maybe do a little farming. I need to get moar money, givem I'm sitting pretty low on gold right now. My desire to level my mining up enough to go after fel iron is waning, but I need to resist. It won't be more profitable if I suddenly switch to herbalism. It's still another tracker on my tracking bar.
Mining Status: 252.
I have my winterspring cat. It doesn't have a name yet, or a gender, though I'm leaning towards 'she'. I missed having a cat, but I'm afraid I might get too attached and never level Beloved. Part of me still wants to train up Regret; I may have to when I can convince people to let me take him into an instance.
These mag'har people need to carry more beads. I wouldn't have to slaughter half their population if they just handed them over. 10:50 AM server time, quest finished. Dead orcs everywhere.
Ever notice how pets only seem to get hungry in the middle of a fight?
Signed up for Ramparts/Blood Furnace runs. Kilrist, undergeared undead shadowpriest on non-epic ground mount, /spit on me. I /flirted back. I liked the way I could see her lack of a mind behind her eyesockets, it was cute.
Time to kill the hell out of demons. Are they looking for one of those crystals? Atamal, I think? I can't kill these dreghoods. I feel bad. Of course this means my kitty is sucking aggro from three mobs at a time.. which I also feel bad for. But if I trap or shoot one they stay aggro afterwards. Not sure how to balance feeling bad with mad lewt.
Naladu is a turncoat but felt bad for it. Does that make it okay?
Again I'm wondering how big, IIRC, these places are supposed to be. How many miles wide is Hellfire Peninsula?
Does Tranquilizing Shot have a use anymore? It should be able to neutralize all enrage effects.
Our guild has two active members, I'm one of them. This makes me a sad panda, but I don't want to leave it. Even our guild leader never bothers to show up.
Not every helboar has blood. At 11:49, a felreaver flattens my pet. I valiantly feign death, a distance away.

Intimidate is good for grabbing aggro. I tend to use it more for inturrupting long-cast spells like Hellfire. (Hellfire? Channeled ones, anyway.) Gettng low on ammo, will have to return after this set of quests..
It's definitely just the quillfangs that shed aggro for unknown reasons.
Pet is now at Dependable level. Still no name. Debating Epicentre.
Got into Blood Furnace run, saw some odd things.

This is a pet listing for Liet. Some have RP basis, some are just wanted because they look neat, or were had for a similar reason.

| Today's running dialogue. |
[Sep. 14th, 2007|01:14 pm] |
My level 61 ravager can't hold aggro. Oddly enough, Omen claims my ravager has over 2k more aggro than me, but the mob will run right for me anyway shortly after I begin doing damage. So far this has only been tested with the ravagers right outside the Longbeards' camp. I wonder if I need to update my addons.
I don't like how ravagers look while using Bestial Wrath.
Hours later, ditched the ravager. Seems to just be a problem on the quillfangs, but don't much like ravagers. Now have another winterspring cat, of the plain white variety. Farmed in Winterspring for a bit, got bored, stopped. |

| And so it begins. |
[Sep. 14th, 2007|01:01 pm] |
Current Pet: Quillfang Skitterer (I think), level 61. Stabled Pets: Humar the Pridelord (45, Regret), Hayoc (60, Beloved)
I am an acknowledged petaholic. I tame new ones at the drop of a hat and ditch them shortly later, except for my white windserpent (named Beloved, incidentally). I have an overwhelming fondness for cat models and windserpent models, loathe boars with a passion (even if they're good tanks), and can't stand a ravager's low health. I could pee on this thing and it'd die.
I really don't want to get rid of Humar. I ground him up from level 23, dammit, and now that it's taking longer and getting harder to do, I want to stop. Does this make me a slacker? (I suspect so) His name is Regret, and god damn is he living up to it. But I want a cat. I miss having a cat. I'm probably going to go back and pick up a white one from Winterspring, since they're my level and I can't get into ZG to tame one of the tigers or panthers there.
By now I could be level 64 at least, but I spent four days grinding up Regret on the undead sorcerers behind Honor Hold.
This, I'll note, is a good place to do so at level 60ish, if you have a lowbie pet you really MUST keep and need to grind up. Along the back wall are a handful of houses that have only sorcerers lurking; so long as you watch out for the lone roaming Knight, you can kill the hell out of them without ever getting into melee range and thus not dying a horribly embarassing death.
Random tip: For skinners at about level 43, 44, head to the Wyrmbog in Dustwallow Marsh. The dragonkin there drop worn scales, thick leather and heavy leather ... I think .. and occasionally drop x2 or x3, enough to make it really profitable to go there. Grind your skinning and leather in this location! The mobs aren't hard for a competant hunter, and you can really rake in the hides. Not to mention there are no elites, even though the dragonkin skin like them, with the multiple leathers.
.. I think I'm going to go tame a winterspring cat. Maybe I'll name it regret too. |
