Liet's halfway through 27 now, after a bit of distraction. Not doing too bad on levels.
I've tamed a blue windserpent, and a white caster windserpent. I'm going to level them up as I go and compare their damage output versus their stats, once both hit the same loyalty.
Vritra is the blue windserpent, and Varna is the white. |

I'm debating trying out a boar, even though I don't like them. |

I have re-aquired level 10 and am about to embark on my beginning training quests. From there it is a long run to the Blood Elf starting area to get my kitty back.
I'm determined. |

And lo, due to a series of unfortunate events, Liet is back to level 1.
And inexplicably male.
Well, level three. I intend to reaquire Solandis as soon as possible and go from there. |

I've decided that I'm going to have to heavily mix gear types in order to be effective. Strength, agility and stamina are very important, but I need more int too, so I'm not drinking every single fight.
Unfortunately only the tiered stuff seems to have any of all three. |

Not dead yet. Reached 70 some time ago, and now have leet epix.
Regret was released in favor of Solandis, a red lynx, who is now 70. I am slowly levelling up Arikara as well, and mostly spending time dinking around on my retpally.
Ret. Scary, I know. It's like being a munter. |

Although I just don't like them, I may go all the way back and pick up an uglyass level 60 boar. If I level the damn thing slowly, I can have a 'good tank pet' to go along with Regret, whom I am still loving dearly. I don't /like/ boars, but they're hellishly useful, and I do have to keep that in mind. One pet I enjoy and love ... and the other I hate with an undying unnatural hatred.
Waiting for the realms to come back up is a pain in the keister. I want to quest, dammit! |

Still existing. Been grinding my way slooowly towards 65, while writing ficbits and attempting to come up with enough primal airs for the Windhawk set. I'm torn between having a scorpid pet and having Trachela. The scorpid can stack damage and has more armor than my level 70 boomkin does, but Trachela is black and white, and has two heads.
This is a difficult choice to make. What's more important to me, offtanking or damage? AOE tanking? Instances don't much like flying pets, so would having one really have any sort of benefit at all, even though they have awesome colors? |

Liet's being a bit neglected in my efforts to slaughter clefthoof hither and yon in a timely fashion, which she cannot yet do.
Moonkin learning curve is not terribly high, thankfully. |

After an exhaustive Black Morass run with the World's Greediest Priest, it's time to get back to farming.
On the bright side, I now know a neat tank. |

This is a gathered list of people who I won't run with again, and why. If others choose to avoid them in the future, that's their business.

Regret's now 62, due in no small part to repeated Blood Furnace runs. Having utterly failed to get the Legion Blunderbuss, I've decided to go for the crossbow in Slave Pens instead. I suspect by the time I have it, Regret will be 63.
When this happens I'll be heading to Nagrand to farm clefthooves. It'll give me experience and skins, which I can then throw at the Inevitable Boomkin for the eventual Windhawk set. I need to start setting aside time to farm black dragonscales, too.
I haven't done any of Zangarmarsh's quests except for the one I needed to do to get my spear. I'm looking forward to going back and getting all the gold from those. Oh yes indeed.
The ficlet continues. It's not really small anymore, I'd originally intended it to be.
Terrokar is beautiful. I need to update these entries with all my screenshots.. maybe tomorrow.
Note: take Beloved hunting before he gets too far behind. Need more fat bear screenshots. |

So, today's thoughts.
I may try to get Regret up to 60 today. If I stop slacking off I can do it, easily. One thing having a low pet does, however, is teach you aggro management really, really fast. Especially when you're 62 and your pet is 56.
I've been going out of my way to hunt Fen Striders, as they drop the spores I use to make Sporeling Snacks for my petses. Said petses insist on still getting hungry in the middle of a fight, dropping my DPS and his ability to hold aggro. Mild frustration. Regret can't hold aggro on Fen Striders well, since they're usually 6 levels over him. But he tries, and I get practice in trapping and panicking.
Saw Marticar. Since it was an Elite, I stayed out of the way. Dagas, a 64 hunter, claims to have soloed it. I am skeptical, as it takes pairs or more of 70s to accomplish, and several minutes at that. I suspect also given his bragging about his pet's armor level, that he is a Boar hunter. And full of shit.
Regret hit 57, 11:54 AM server time. 58, 1:47 PM. I am running low on ammo. When Regrets hits 60, I will have to respec him into a proper pet, not the mishmash of skills he currently is. Fire resist is useless in Zangarmarsh.
Onto Slave Pens! Regret hit 59 in here, around 2:45 PM server.
Out of slave pens, 3:51. No loot, but Regret's very close to 60. I am content. Soon I'll be farming clefthooves and warp stalkers. When Regret hits 62, I'll begin swapping him out for Beloved.
At 4:21 PM, Regret hit 60.
Time to head to Terokkar. |

Big Red Kitty. Here you will find information about Beastmaster Hunters, and a lot of it. What specs to level with, what gear to aim for, you name it, he has it.
Petopia. THE pet resource. It'll tell you where to find every tameable pet in the game, as well as where to find pet skills such as Bite or Claw, and how to upgrade them. It also has tips and tricks for hunters to get really hard to get pets, like Sons of Hakkar.
Warcraft Wiki. I spend a lot of time here. It has just about everything I can think of, from class guides to information about instances, to roleplay profiles.
I am not in any way actually informative, but these sites are. |

Regret continues to make me live up to his name. He's 56 now, and trucking along. I hope I'll have the time and patience to level both him and Beloved. I suspect I'll be grinding most of my way to 70, however, since I refuse to do quests until my pets are my level, except for the ones I needed for my Survivalist's Pike. The less quests I do, the more chances my pets will be able to catch up to me in a somewhat timely manner.
Zangarmarsh is wet. As soon as I get a pet to 60ish, I'm hitting mobs with better drops. Maybe.. go farm the arrakoa for a while. Get those boxes of greens and early rep gains. |
